Thursday, October 10

Flight Check-in

9:00 am CDT

Check-in at the American Airlines Ticket Counter, Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport.

Group record locator: MPUZEV

You must show photo ID upon check-in to receive your boarding pass.

Note: Total Sports Travel will check the group in 24 hours prior to departure. You do not need to go online to check yourself in.

Flight Departure

10:55 am CDT

American Airlines flight 5332 departs Birmingham for Washington National Airport (DCA). Arrival at 1:59 pm.

3:38 pm EDT

American Airlines flight 4620 departs Washington (DCA) for New York LaGuardia Airport.

Flight Arrival

4:49 pm EDT

American Airlines flight arrives LaGuardia Airport.

Upon deplaning, proceed to baggage claim to retrieve your luggage. You will be met by your tour representative, Amanda Becker, who will assist you to the motorcoaches.

Hotel Check-in for Land Packages

3:00 pm EDT

Upon hotel arrival, proceed to the front desk to receive your room key. Although you have been pre-registered at the hotel, you must present your credit card to the front desk to guarantee any incidental charges (phone calls, room service, etc).

Hotel Arrival for Air passengers

6:15 pm EDT

Upon hotel arrival, proceed to the front desk to receive your room key. At your convenience, visit the front desk to present a credit card for incidentals (phone calls, room service, etc).

Checked luggage will be delivered to your hotel room by the bell staff. You do not need to be present in your room for luggage delivery. Since all porterage and baggage handling gratuities are included in your package price, it is not necessary to tip the bell staff. If someone else’s baggage is mistakenly placed in your room, please contact the bell desk of the hotel immediately.

Friday, October 11

A Total Sports Travel Tour Hospitality Desk, located in the 4th floor foyer, will be available to answer any questions you may have. Stop by at your convenience to receive your tour credential.

Saturday, October 12

Game Departure from the hotel

7:15 am EDT

Meet in the lobby to board the motorcoach. Make sure you have your cell phone and have saved your game tickets to your wallet.

West Point requires that ALL passengers 16 and older present a photo ID in order to enter the gates at West Point. Visitors should carry an ID with them at all times while on post. Please inform ALL members of your party.

Motorcoach departs for the Pier 11/Wall Street - Seastreak Ferry

During the cruise, enjoy a full-service bar offering cocktails, beer, sodas, coffee, and tea as well as an assortment of game-day snacks for purchase. Please note: passengers are not permitted to bring their own alcohol or coolers on the boat. For the Ultimate NYC and Hudson River site-seeing experience, enjoy the breeze on the open top deck or watch the pre-game events on TV's in the climate-controlled cabins with expansive windows.

Ferry arrive at South Dock, West Point

Upon arrival, you will board the Green Shuttle buses to the Howze Place drop-off next to Michie Stadium

Game Time

Due to heightened security at West Point, visitors may need to pass through additional security measures prior to entering Michie Stadium. The following items will not be allowed into the stadium: large bags, backpacks, coolers, umbrellas and all beverage containers (glass or plastic). Please plan accordingly.

Game Day Event Schedule

11:40 am

CADET MARCH-ON/NATIONAL ANTHEM: Approximately 30 minutes before kickoff, a Cadet Regiment marches on the field, and the USMA Band performs the National Anthem.

11:50 am

PARACHUTE DEMONSTRATION: A fan favorite, look skyward as West Point Cadets jump from a helicopter and land minutes later on the field as they parachute in the official game ball approximately 15 minutes before kickoff (weather permitting).

KICKOFF: At 12:00pm, the UAB Blazers take on the Black Knights!

HALFTIME: Witness the extraordinary talents of the West Point Band

Know Before You Go

Weather & Clothing

In mid-October, the daily highs in New York run in the mid 60s, while evening temperatures are typically in the high 40s.

There is no specific dress code for any of the program inclusions. Just pack your BLAZERS gear!

You may want to consider bringing a jacket, scarf, gloves, etc since it can be cool and windy on the ferry.

Meals

Meals, unless otherwise specified are not included in your package price. When planning meals, please allow enough time to be on time for scheduled group departures.

A Total Sports Travel Information Desk will be staffed at your hotel during dedicated hours (see below) to provide information and assistance as needed.

Desk will be located in the 4th floor foyer.

Official Tour Credential

To help our tour hosts identify you as part of the Total Sports Travel Tour group, we ask that you wear your official event credential for game transfers. Your event credentials will be distributed at the Tour Hospitality Desk at the hotel.

LUGGAGE FOR
GROUP AIR PASSENGERS

To ensure proper handling of your baggage, please follow the instructions below:

Make sure you have identification on each of your bags including your name, address and cell phone number
Limit yourself to one (1) carry-on item and one (1) small personal item that must fit in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat.
Checked bags will incur a fee of $40 for the first bag and $45 for a second bag. Fees are payable to the ticket agent upon check-in. Standard checked bag allowance is a total of 62 inches (Length + Width + Height) and must weigh 50 lbs per bag or less.
Items such as jewelry, cash, electronics, business documents, car/house keys, irreplaceable photographs or similar items should not be placed in checked baggage but should be kept in the passenger’s personal possession at all times.
All vital medications including insulin, pills, and other medicines must be in your carry-on or personal item.

GAME TICKETS

Game tickets will be emailed to you separately on or before Wednesday, Oct 9th. All tickets are digital and require you to download to your smartphone's wallet.
