Flight Check-in

Check-in at the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Present your photo ID to the ticket agent to receive your boarding pass and check bags. Once your bags are checked, you should proceed to TSA and onto your gate.

Once you deplane, proceed to baggage claim where you will be met by a Total Sports Travel Representative. They will assist and guide you to your transportation to the hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel, proceed to the front desk to receive your room key. Although you have been pre-registered at the hotel, you must present your credit card to the front desk to guarantee any incidental charges (phone calls, room service, etc).

Join fellow Alumni for cocktails before going out to enjoy a night on the town.

Drink tickets will be distributed upon entry for beer, wine, and soda.

Upon entry to the campus, you'll be joined by a step-on guide. Today's tour will be a combination of bus tour and walking. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Army Cadet Regiment takes the field for the National Anthem

3:20 pm

West Point cadets jump from a helicopter and land minutes later on the field as they parachute in the official game ball and flags. (Weather permitting)

Game Day Event Schedule

12:30 pm

CADET REVIEW: One of the time honored traditions of a West Point gameday, a full-dress cadet parade takes place on “The Plain” three hours prior to kickoff (weather permitting) for every home game.

12:30 pm

BLACK KNIGHTS ALLEY OPENS: Black Knights Alley is the fan fest that runs along Mills Road, between Michie Stadium and Lusk Reservoir, featuring live music, inflatables for kids, food and beverage, tailgate show, the Michie Stadium Preservation Project Preview Center and more.

1:30 pm

BLACK KNIGHTS WALK: The football players, Rabble Rousers, band and coaches will walk from Gate 3 of Michie Stadium down to the locker room.

3:10 pm

CADET MARCH-ON/NATIONAL ANTHEM: Approximately 30 minutes before kickoff, a Cadet Regiment marches on the field, and the USMA Band performs the National Anthem.

3:20 pm

PARACHUTE DEMONSTRATION: A fan favorite, look skyward as West Point Cadets jump from a helicopter and land minutes later on the field as they parachute in the official game ball approximately 15 minutes before kickoff (weather permitting).

KICKOFF: At 3:30pm, the Black Knights take on the Trojans of Troy University!

HALFTIME: Witness the extraordinary talents of the West Point Band

Weather & Clothing

In mid-October, the daily highs in the New York area run in the mid 60s while evening temperatures are typically in the mid 50s.

There is no specific dress code for any of the program inclusions. Just pack your Troy Trojans gear!

Official Tour Credential

To help our tour hosts identify you as part of the Total Sports Travel group, we ask that you wear your official event credential for events and game transfers. Your event credentials will be distributed at the Tour Hospitality Desk at the Westin.

Meals

Meals, unless otherwise specified, are not included in your package price. When planning meals, please allow enough time to be on time for scheduled group departures.

Luggage

To ensure proper handling of your baggage, please follow the instructions below:

Make sure you have identification on each of your bags including your name, address and cell phone number
Limit yourself to one (1) carry-on item and one (1) small, personal item that must fit in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat.
You may check two (2) bags. Standard checked bag allowance is a total of 62 inches (Length + Width + Height) and must weigh 50 lbs per bag or less.
Items such as jewelry, cash, electronics, business documents, car/house keys, irreplaceable photographs or similar items should not be placed in checked baggage but should be kept in the passenger’s personal possession at all times.
All vital medications including insulin, pills, and other medicines must be in your carry-on or personal item.
